Affiliate Marketing Success
Do you have an army of affiliates supporting you with the task of promoting and selling your products or services?
Yes?
Do you look after them?
Yes? - then please add some tips to others on your affiliate marketing success in the comments box .....
NO!!!! Then please do read on...
Affiliate marketing is a recommended sales approach for many businesses, large and small, and you may take the route of setting up your own affiliate program, either using your own software/ tools or through a specific affiliate marketing program. There are of course several affiliate marketing services that you can choose from, some free and some exceedingly costly.
Setting up your own affiliate program is not the point of this post however. What I am much more concerned about is what you do, how you behave, and whether you care for your affiliates - once you have them!
For example: "These woes are familiar to affiliates so why haven’t things generally improved with some parties. Simple … they just don’t care!" source: mooseontheloose
So, if you "don't care about your affiliates" what on earth do you think will happen? That's right, they won't remain your affiliates for very long!
You need to show your affiliates that you genuinely care about them and then actually take action that will demonstrate your care for them.
Affiliate marketing success depends upon your care for them. They have joined your affiliate program because they have used and like your product or service, or it fits well with their own offerings or it is on topic for their own blog or website. They have also joined to make money and be supported in making money for themselves and of course for you.
If you look after and care for your affiliates, provide them with the tools they need that make 'their job' easier, provide them with links that actually work, answer their queries and correct things promptly when they go wrong, communicate with them, guide them and support them - then you will have a happy army of affiliates who will be only too pleased to invest their time and effort in promoting you and your services.
If you don't care about your affiliates, and there are many who don't, you will soon see them investing their valuable time and effort with your competitors.
Remember, time is money for you - so it is the case for your affiliates.
Keep on caring!

Diane, Great article and something that I think those just starting to use an affiliate programme to promote their products and services don't really think about.
If you are running or thinking of running your own affiliate programme, please, please, please remember to provide your affiliates with many different options on how to promote your products and services.
Provide banners in different sizes and promoting different offerings, text links with catchy slogans, an advert that can be sent out in ezines and newsletters, even classified ads.
The more you provide your affiliates with tools and resources to promote your products and services, the more they will want to, and be successful in selling for you!
Good luck!
